Making books and posters using the letterpress Blind Print method invites the viewer to question what they are seeing and what he or she is looking at. Each piece is intended to be engaged with in a careful tactile way by the viewer.
DaDa, the concrete poets of the mid twentieth century, the books of Andy Warhol, Richard Kostelanetz and Ai Weiwei question the status-quo and attempt to reinterpret old ideas and deconstruct new ones: they have all in one way or another inspired this body of work. Using Letterpress without ink creates a Blind Print that takes effort to look at and see. This body of work is deliberately simple and vague, complex and confusing and hopefully humorous.
